Fast Weight Loss for Women – Medifast Review

It is possible to lose 15 to 20 pounds in a month with a healthy, fast weight loss plan, but most solutions require a big investment of time for shopping and meal preparation.

Medifast is different because it offers the fast weight loss dieters crave, without the dangers of fad diets, and without the time investment that other diets require. In fact, with Medifast, shopping, meal preparation and food costs are all simplified, and you can enjoy fast weight loss while simplifying meal preparation.

The Medifast program is quickly gaining popularity because it meets the needs of today's busy women. It is a healthy, calorie restricted diet that is extremely easy and simple to follow. Best of all, it provides fast weight loss, typically at 2 to 5 pounds per week.

In May of this month, the company reported sales growth of 25%, as women all over the country are discovering the benefits of this healthy, rapid weight loss system.

The Medifast 5&1 plan is a meal replacement plan. The food, which is easily prepared with water and a microwave comprises nutritionally balanced meals that will help you lose weight, and save you time over the laborious problems associated with other diets.

The truth about weight loss is that it is simply a matter of burning more calories than you take in. However, counting calories is difficult because there are so many hidden calories in various foods. The Medifast program is not a fad diet that tries to hide the calorie reduction under some goofy notion of drinking a special sauce. It provides you with 5 Medifast meals per day, which you supplement with 1 lean green meal.

If you've tried other fast weight loss solutions you've probably noticed how much preparation time can be involved, how boring they become with lack of food variety, and how they can leave you feeling tired. This is because many of those rapid weight loss diets do not give you all the nutrition you need. With Medifast, meals a breeze to prepare, you spread them out to avoid getting hungry, and your calories are automatically controlled by adherence to the program. The result is extremely fast weight loss for women who stick with the program.

What's not to like? Less time in the kitchen, less time in the store, less money - and most importantly - less pounds! The ultimate fast weight loss solution for women.

Medifast Food Reviews

What do Medifast foods actually taste like?

Several months ago I decided to try out the Medifast Diet and I remained on it for about two months before getting completely tired of the food. Since whether or not you can stomach eating the food on a diet program like this is usually a make or break part of weight loss success, I thought I'd give a rundown of all the foods I've tried and whether they were tasty, edible, barely passable, or utterly revolting.

There's no question that if you follow the Medifast Diet, you will lose weight. I lost about 30 lbs in the two months I was on it. But like most diets, once you are done with the special foods and go back to eating like a normal person, the weight creeps back on. If you can successfully change your lifestyle after you stop eating their product, then I think Medifast is quite effective. If you go back to the "same old, same old", then it's a short term solution.

One thing I noticed in particular while following the Medifast program that turned out, for me, to be even better than the weight loss is that my skin cleared up and a lot of my GI Tract problems disappeared. My guess is that I have some kind of food allergies. Medifast is primarily soy-based and I was not eating any wheat at all while on the program, so who knows? Maybe I have some wheat sensitivies.

My favorite Medifast foods

My personal favorites are the Hot Cocoa, the Orange Cream shake and the Lemon Fantasy and Oatmeal Raisin Food bars. All three of them are delicious enough that I would drink or eat them even if I wasn't dieting. The Hot Cocoa is one of the few Medifast products that doesn't have any soy in it.

The Medifast shakes are the mainstay of the program and, fortunately, I found all of the shakes to be pretty good as well, but they do tend to have a faint soy aftertaste. In my opinion, the powdered packets taste better than the Ready-To-Drink shakes which just seem rather thin and uninteresting. Mixing the powdered shakes with ice in a blender improves them considerably and you can also add flavored syrups to them as long as the syrups are sugar-free.

I tried doing the same with the Ready-To-Drink and they just didn't turn out as well. I'm guess the formulation is quite a bit different.
